MINI is encouraging emission-free motoring by offering a complimentary home charger to customers who purchase a MINI Electric vehicle.

The offer, which is available to all MINI Electric orders placed between January 1st and March 31st, 2023, includes a Pod Point home charger and installation. MINI says this charger is three times more efficient than a standard main plug, allowing customers to charge their vehicle from 0-80 percent in just three hours.

In addition to the home charger, customers will also have access to the Pod Point App, which allows them to view charging activity, track costs, view charging history, and schedule charging for off-peak hours when tariffs are typically cheaper.

The offer is also valid for all MINI Electric orders purchased through Personal Contract Purchase and Personal Contract Hire by March 31st. Customers who already have a home charger will receive a £750 deposit contribution.

It comes following the firm providing 12 months of access to MINI Charging without a subscription fee. This enables access to a charging network of over 11,000 points across the UK and 173,000 points across Europe from a variety of operators including BP Pulse, INSTAVOLT and IONITY.

The MINI Electric delivers a claimed 0-62mph time of just 7.3 seconds and a WLTP range of 145 miles, while standard equipment includes a digital dashboard, MINI navigation, and an 8.8-inch high-resolution display.
