MINI has announced the launch of a limited edition MINI Clubman Final Edition, which pays homage to the launch year of the original vehicle from 1969.

This latest iteration of the car features a 4-cylinder Cooper S engine, which makes 175bhp, enough to launch the car from  0-62mph in 7.2sec, before reaching its top speed of 142mph.

The car also comes in a choice of three exterior paint colours - Enigmatic Black, Nanuq White, or Melting Silver, and rides on 18 inch Final Edition alloy wheels.

To differentiate the car from the mass produced versions are copper-coloured details, which can be seen on the grille surrounds and side scuttles, while a four-stripe decal runs along the car’s side.

Since the car is limited to just 1,969 examples, the car also features ‘Final Edition’ lettering on the rear and a "1 of 1969" badge on the C-pillar.

Inside, the car boasts heated leather sports seats, finished exclusively in Dark Maroon leather, plus "Final Edition" lettering embellished in the door sill trims. Final Edition emblems can also be found on its nappa leather steering wheel and seats.

Fitted as standard with MINI’s Exclusive trim, interior tech includes an 8.8 inch touch display with MINI Navigation System with support for Apple CarPlay, as well as a Harmon Kardon Surround Sound system.

Other features include a reversing camera and a panoramic sunroof.

Only 100 examples are destined for the UK market, and are available to order now, priced at £37,000.

The Mini Clubman will soon stop production permanently, as announced by the car manufacturer owned by BMW.

A new all-electric model called the MINI Acemen, unveiled last month, will sit between the MINI Cooper hatchback and the Countryman SUV when it’s launched in 2025.
