Audi SQ8 e-tron launched in UK from £97,500
Customers can choose between the SUV and Sportback body styles, with two specification options available: Black Edition and Vorsprung
The Audi SQ8 e-tron has officially gone on sale in the UK with a starting price of £97,500.
As the flagship model of the new Q8 e-tron lineup, the SQ8 e-tron comes equipped with a triple electric motor setup, delivering an impressive 496bhp and 973 Nm of torque. That is enough to launch the car from 0–62mph in 4.5 seconds before reaching its top speed of 130mph.
It is powered by a 106kWh battery providing a claimed range of up to 276 miles (WLTP) on a single charge, and can be replenished from 10 to 80 percent in 31 minutes via a 170kW DC charging rate.
Customers can choose between the SUV and Sportback body styles, and standard equipment includes adaptive air suspension, Quattro all-wheel drive, progressive steering, a 360-degree camera and S-specific exterior styling.
The car can also be had with a choice of two trim levels: Black Edition and Vorsprung, which provide additional equipment.
The base variant, known as the Black Edition, has a starting price of £97,500 for the SUV and £100,000 for the Sportback. It offers a range of standard features, including 21-inch alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlights, and a high-end sound system from Bang & Olufsen.
The car can also be specd with the Technology Pack Pro S (£2,595), the Tour Pack (£1,995), and the City Assist package (£1,125) for extra on-board tech.
Above the Black Edition models are the top-of-the-line Vorsprung variants, priced at £114,500 and £117,000. These models come fully loaded with high-end amenities, such as Audi's Digital Matrix LED headlights, larger 22-inch alloy wheels and soft-close doors.
Inside the car meanwhile benefits from a panoramic glass roof, virtual door mirrors, upholstered leather across the upper dashboard and door cards.
The SQ8 e-tron is expected to be delivered to customers during the summer, and will compete in the luxurious premium electric SUV space with the BMW iX, Mercedes EQE SUV.
