Jeep Wrangler SUV to arrive in Europe in 2024
Deliveries are scheduled to commence during the first half of 2024
Jeep has confirmed plans to launch its Wrangler SUV in Europe next year.
The latest evolution of the firm’s off-rader is said to boast greater capability, new technology and advanced safety features.
The new Wrangler will be available in two models: the Sahara and the Rubicon. Both models are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.
The Sahara is equipped with a standard eight-speed automatic transmission, while the Rubicon gets a six-speed manual transmission as standard.
The 2024 Wrangler's interior comes equipped with a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen infotainment system, which stands as the largest and most sophisticated display ever featured in a Wrangler. This system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.
The new Wrangler also features a number of new off-road technologies, including a Selec-Terrain traction control system.
The Rubicon model also gets a Rock-Trac four-wheel-drive system and a limited-slip differential.
In terms of safety, the new Wrangler comes standard with a number of features, including electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist, and hill descent control. It also gets a number of advanced safety features, such as a blind spot monitoring system, rear cross traffic alert, and lane departure warning.
The new Wrangler will go on sale in Europe in the first half of 2024. Prices have not yet been announced.
Another car from Jeep to launch next year is the petrol version of the Jeep Avenger, which was announced for the UK after the firm u-turned on its move to sell it as an electric-only model.
