Mazda launches facelifted Mazda2 from £17,750
The supermini features an updated exterior design and more generous standard equipment
The revamped Mazda2 supermini has officially launched in the UK, offering a new look and an interior upgrade.
The car now sports Mazada’s signature wing grille surround, a new headlight design, a redesigned bumper, plus subtle colour accents around the exterior.
Engine options remain unchanged, offering customers a choice between three versions of a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with power outputs of 73bhp, 88bhp, and 113bhp.
Notably, Mazda's e-Skyactiv-G mild-hybrid system is available on models equipped with the six-speed manual gearbox, while it is not offered on those with the six-speed automatic transmission.
The car’s trim lineup has also been updated, offering customers a choice between the Centre Line, Homura, Exclusive Line, and Homura Aka variants. Each trim level has their own design elements, with notable enhancements found on the grille.
The Centre Line and Exclusive Line models showcase a colour panel on the lower section of the grille, as well as yellow accent tabs on both the grille and rear bumper.
Mazda says these design updates allow for a wider range of colour combinations, giving customers more options to personalise their Mazda2.
The Centre Line trim also rides on 15-inch alloy wheels, while the Exclusive Line adopts larger 16-inch wheels.
Inside the vehicle features a high-definition seven-inch touchscreen, and the infotainment system can be navigated via a command wheel controller.
Mazda has also added support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and climate and cruise control now come fitted as standard.
The updated Mada2 is available now, and is priced from £17,750.
