Details on the brand-new MG4 EV, an all-electric hatchback designed to provide customers with space, innovation, cost - effectiveness, and driving excellence, are being released by MG.
The all-electric hatchback lineup aims to provide UK consumers with reliable, cheap zero-emissions transportation. The MG4 EV SE Standard Range, SE Long Range, and Trophy Long Range specifications will all be available at launch.
Price ranges for the SE Standard Range, SE Long Range, and Trophy Long Range start at £25,995, £28,495, and £31,495. Making up the six colours that will be offered at launch - Holborn Blue, Black Pearl, Arctic White, Dynamic Red, and two new MG colours, Volcano Orange and Camden Grey.
The MG4 EV will provide more storage, interior, and boot capacity within its small exterior dimensions thanks to its expanded 2,705mm wheelbase, in addition to a contemporary new design language. New thin battery technology, at just 110mm in height, increases rear boot capacity considerably.
The MG4 EV Standard Range, offered with battery capacities ranging from 51 to 64 kWh, will have a WLTP cycle range of 218 miles, while the Long Range SE and Trophy Models will have ranges of 281 and 270 miles approximately. The 64kWh battery has a charging capacity of 135kW, which translates to a charge time of only 35 minutes from 10% to 80% utilising a 150kW DC quick charger.
The MG 4 EV SE trim will be offered with Standard Range or Long Range batteries, both with the company's MG Pilot advanced driver assistance system, MG iSmart app connectivity, automatic LED headlights and rear lights, automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors, and 17" alloy wheels.
Long Range SE models also come with MG's avant-garde Active Grille Shutter System (AGS), which controls airflow in accordance with the vehicle's needs. This increases aerodynamic efficiency by up to 30% and can extend the range of an EV by up to 10%.
With a standard long-range battery, the MG4 EV Trophy will have the greatest specification at launch and be able to go 270 miles on a single charge. The MG Pilot system will be improved for Trophy models, adding features including Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Lane Change Assist, and Blind Spot Detection (BSD)
A two-tone roof, rear privacy glass, twin aero rear spoiler, leather interior with an electric driver's seat, heated front seats, a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, a Bluetooth key, satellite navigation, and an upgraded MG iSmart system with live services are also included as added features.

An Apple CarPlay/Android Auto-compatible 7” driver display and a 10.25” floating infotainment screen are two of the high-tech amenities that will also be included into the interior design.
All MG4 EVs will have a seven-year guarantee as well as new levels of spaciousness and equipment as standard, staying true to MG's Get More philosophy.
Detailed pricing and specification information will be released closer to the vehicle launch date in September.
