The much-anticipated electric version of Peugeot's estate wagon, the E-308 SW, has now hit the UK market with a starting price tag of £41,250.

Despite being slightly more expensive than its hatchback counterpart, E-308 SW's performance and range mirror that of the regular model, equipped with a 154bhp electric motor and a 54kWh battery. Peigeot says this delivers a maximum range of 254 miles on a full charge.

Its charging capability supports 100kW, allowing for a quick 20-80 per cent charge in just under 25 minutes using a suitable charger. The model also includes a heat pump to maintain cabin warmth, optimising range efficiency even in cold conditions.

The E-308 SW doesn't skimp on features despite its premium price. The base Allure model includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10-inch digital instrument display, and a 10-inch touchscreen equipped with customizable shortcut keys. Additional comforts include heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a 180-degree rear view camera.

The GT model, available for an additional £2,070, provides enhanced features like Matrix LED headlights and  adaptive cruise control.

Storage space is on par with the hybrid variant, offering 548 litres with rear seats upright and expanding to 1,574 litres when folded.
