Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer: Official teaser images reveal new electric estate
The ID.7 is VW’s first all-electric wagon
Volkswagen has released official teaser images of its upcoming ID.7 Tourer electric estate, ahead of a 2024 launch.
The images show the ID.7 Tourer's side and rear profiles, which reveal some styling cues taken from the all electric saloon version, which was revealed earlier this year.
VW says the car has a drag coefficient of just 0.24, which is the same as the ID.7 saloon and better than the new Passat Estate.
The ID.7 Tourer is expected to have a boot capacity of 545 litres with the rear seats up, and 1,714 litres with them down. This is slightly less than the petrol and hybrid-powered
Passat, but still a very impressive amount of space.
It is expected to be powered by the same battery and electric motor options as the saloon. The entry-level ID.7 has a 77kWh battery and a 282bhp electric motor, while the more expensive Pro S model boasts a 82kWh battery and a 333bhp electric motor.
A GTX version of the ID.7 saloon has been teased, which looks set to feature a potent dual motor setup, but for now it remains unclear if an estate version will follow.
