Munro Vehicles unveils MK1 electric pick-up
Priced from £49,995, the firm says it’s received over 200 orders ahead of production in 2025
Munro Vehicles has introduced its latest model - the Munro MK1 pick-up, marking the company's second offering.
With a base price of £49,995 (excluding VAT), the company says the pick-up has already received over 200 orders, covering planned production until 2025
The design incorporates a rear pick-up bed, capable of accommodating a payload of 1,050kg, and its towing capacity 3,500kg.
Designed for the most extreme environments, the Munro MK’s ground clearance is 480mm, while its departure and approach angles are 84 and 51 degrees, respectively.
It is powered by a 61.2kWh or an 82.4kWh battery. The latter is used by the Performance version, and enables up to 381 bhp and 700Nm of torque, distributed to all four wheels. As a result, the Munro MK1 pick-up achieves a claimed 0-62mph time of 4.9 seconds.
Munro claims that the battery can be charged from 15 to 80 percent in just 36 minutes, thanks to its 100kW charging capacity. Additionally, the model offers a maximum range exceeding 190 miles.
Munro plans to manufacture 50 vehicles this year before transitioning to a custom-built facility near Glasgow in 2024.
The company anticipates increasing production to 2,500 vehicles per year by 2027.
