Kia has launched a new rental app which aims to make it easier to access the company’s hire services.
Customers can choose from a range of cars in Kia’s range, from its smallest car, the Picanto, to its biggest, the Sorento.
The app also provides a selection of plug-in hybrid and all-electric vehicles, as well as automatic and manual models. Kia says most of its cars available to rent will come with factory-fitted satellite navigation.
In addition to the Kia range, the app also enables users to view and book rentals prior to selecting either an hourly, daily, orweekly rental period.
The app requires registration, which involves a DVLA licence identity check using facial recognition algorithms. Once logged in, users can select desired dates and search for available rental cars from their nearest Kia dealership.
John Hargreaves, General Manager for Fleet and Remarketing at Kia UK, said: “Since even before its launch in late 2014, Kia Rental has attracted some dedicated retail and fleet customers because of the quality of service.
“The new app is designed to streamline the process even further and get rid of the usual time-consuming processes associated with renting cars. We want this to be as simple as possible for customers.
“Whether it is for a job-need, to try out a new model or take a larger car on a family trip, Kia Rental offers a truly flexible service.”
