Porsche expands e-bike range with new models
The mountain bikes have been developed with e-bike specialist firm Rotwild
Porsche has unveiled two new electric bikes, namely the Cross Performance and the Cross Performance EXC.
The bikes have been made in collaboration with Rotwild, a renowned manufacturer of high-end electric mountain bikes, and are based on the existing Porsche eBike Cross.
However, the updated versions come with improved motor and battery systems.
The Cross Performance, priced at €12,900 (£11,017) features a Fox Factory 34 Float suspension with 120mm travel, and a rear Fox Float DPS Factory air shock with 100mm travel. Performance comes from a Shimano
EP-801 motor which is powered by a 630 WH battery.
Assisting the electric motor is a 12-speed Shimano system, while stopping power comes from four-piston MT7 brakes from Magura.
The bike also comes equipped with a carbon Rotwild B220 Flatriser 35 handlebar, which measures 780mm wide.
The second model, the Porsche Cross Performance EXC electric bike, is priced at €13,900 (£11,854).
This bike is tailored to meet individual requirements, although specific details are not provided, except for custom paint options.
Customers can choose from a range of paint colours, including Star Ruby Neo, Ice Gray Metallic, Mamba Green Metallic, Carmine Red, Shade Green Metallic, and Shark Blue.
Both bikes weigh 21 kg and have a maximum weight limit of 120 kilograms.
They can be found in three frame sizes: S (for approximately 1.56-1.70m height), M (for approximately 1.68-1.82m height), and L (for approximately 1.80-1.94m height).
The new Porsche electric bikes will be available for purchase at select dealerships and via Porsche-design.com.
