Fiat unveils upcoming Fiat 600 electric SUV
Scheduled for a 2024 release, the Fiat 600 SUV will offer similarities to the Jeep Avenger
The Fiat 600 is set to join Fiat's electric vehicle lineup, and a newly released video provides a comprehensive look at the upcoming model.
Scheduled for release in 2024, the Fiat 600 will serve as an SUV counterpart to the popular 500 city car, and is expected to closely resemble the specifications of the Jeep Avenger SUV.
Little is confirmed, but the Avenger has a 54kWh battery for an official range of 248 miles. Plus, there’s support for 100kW charging speeds.
The Fiat 600 will also benefit from a specially developed e-CMP2 platform developed by the Stellantis Group, which could potentially offer interior space and practicality similar to the outgoing 500L MPV.
Talking of the interior, the video also provides a good view of the 600 from inside too. It incorporates a rounded digital instrument cluster and central touchscreen akin to those found in the Fiat 500. The touchscreen is mounted on the dashboard, though there's also a strip of physical buttons below it to operate the ventilation system.
When it arrives on sale next year, the new Fiat 600 will replace both the 500X SUV and the 500L MPV, consolidating them into a single electric model.
