The Next-Gen Ranger Raptor made its first European debut this week at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it took on the historic Goodwood off-road track and hillclimb.
The Raptor has a twin-turbo 3.0-litre EcoBoost V6 engine, which produces 288PS and 491Nm of torque.
The second-generation Ranger Raptor, unveiled for the first time in a stunt video earlier this year, offers improved on and off-road abilities with features like FOXÒ Live Valve shock absorbers, position-sensitive damping and seven switchable drive modes for handling terrain ranging from road to rock crawl. Ford's new-generation SYNC 4A® technology is backed by a 12-inch centre touchscreen.
To support the LGBTQ+ community, it debuted in pride-inspired "Very Gay Raptor" colours. Following a harsh remark on a social media post, Ford has taken a stand against online discrimination and demonstrated support for the LGBTQ+ community, leading to the introduction of the first "Very Gay Raptor" in 2021.
The Ranger Raptor is part of Ford’s efforts to combat discrimination, including sponsoring a live session of the company's new "Tough Talks" series. Gareth Thomas, the Welsh rugby icon and the first openly gay professional rugby union player, moderated a discussion on how the automobile industry can promote a culture of inclusion and allyship for the LGBTQ+ community.
Customers can now create and calculate the cost of their ideal Ranger Raptor using the automaker's online configurator. Select features like the Raptor Exterior Dress-Up pack, a Splash Decal package, functional load bars, roller shutters, and colour options like Arctic White, Blue Lightning, and Code Orange.
The all-new Ford Pro Electric SuperVan was unveiled for the first time as part of the future-focused and connected line-up of items on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (FoS). The Next-Gen Ranger Raptor also made its debut in the UK on June 23, 2022.
The new SuperVan was created to demonstrate the extremes of performance and ‘productivity-accelerating connectivity’. The SuperVan includes a 50 kWh liquid-cooled battery, four electric motors, a custom control system, and over 2,000 PS to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under two seconds.
