ElectraMeccanica debuted its revolutionary SOLO EV at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed (FoS).
ElectraMeccanica Cars Corp. creates electric vehicles (EVs) specifically for urban transportation, delivery and commuter purposes. In addition to being on display at the FoS Electric Avenue, the all-new SOLO EV also took part in the 1.16-mile Goodwood Hill climb, as a part of the "Batch 6" road car moving display.
The Canadian company creates and produces ecologically friendly EVs. The SOLO is an innovative, single-seat EV and is the company's flagship model. The SOLO EV aims to revolutionise urban driving, including shared mobility, deliveries and commuting.
On the Solo EV’s European debut, Kevin Pavlov, CEO of ElectraMeccanica said: "I'm delighted to be part of the world-class Goodwood FoS event, showing our SOLO EV to the UK and European audiences,
"The way we travel today is outdated. Everything, from infrastructure to fueling, parking and delivery, was built for and around the car instead of people - and as our needs, lifestyles, and behaviours have changed, so too must the way we get around” Pavlov continued.
"At ElectraMeccanica, we're embracing and building for that long-awaited change - and modernising mobility for what it needs to be today. I look forward to seeing the UK's reaction to SOLO first-hand at Goodwood."
The SOLO EV is designed to provide the environmentally concerned consumer with a distinctive driving experience, despite it being manufactured for the convenience of only a single occupant. It has a range of up to 100 miles and a top speed of 80 mph, depending on road conditions, weather and climate controls. Along with power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, a Bluetooth entertainment system, front and rear crumple zones, side impact protection, roll bars, the SOLO EV also has torque-limiting control.
According to ElectraMeccanica, the SOLO EV was created with the consideration of customer demands, psychology and lifestyles and is tailored to meet the needs of today's drivers and businesses.
It is a small, one-seat, three-wheel vehicle with up-to-date technology, plug-and-go charging and decent storage. The SOLO EV, a fully enclosed vehicle, has advantages over two-wheeled transportation options such as scooters, motorbikes and bicycles in regards to safety, weather protection and temperature control.
