Polestar has sold all 500 examples of its special edition 6 LA Concept edition - a new all-electric two-seater from the Swedish brand. 

The exclusive LA Concept edition is an initial version of the Polestar 6 that will enter production in 2026. 

It was sold out in just seven days after it made its first public appearance at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance event in California - showing a clear appetite for a battery-powered roadster.

The special edition model will be finished in the Sky blue tone that first appeared on the Polestar O2 concept car, which debuted in March 2022.

It will also feature the same 22-inch alloy wheel design, from the OS concept, as well as the light-blue interior. 

Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath said: “The high interest from our customers shows that a stunning electric roadster like Polestar 6 has high relevance in the sports car arena,” 

“The open-top-plus-electric combination is clearly one that appeals to even the most die-hard petrolheads.”

Since the car has been met with such a strong response, order books for the production version of the Polestar 6 will begin in 2022, and will be priced at around  £170k. 

In terms of performance, the Polestar 6 will produce up to 873bhp and 900 Nm of torque. 

The 0-60mph sprint will be dealt with in three seconds, and it will keep on accelerating to a top speed of 155mph.
