Skoda’s hatchback and crossover models are set to get a new look
Skoda Teases Refreshed Scala and Kamiq Models with Exciting Updates
Skoda is gearing up to unveil updates for its popular Scala and Kamiq models, which have been on the market since 2019.
Teasers for the refreshed hatchback and crossover have already hinted at some of the changes we can expect to see in the facelifted versions, ahead of their full unveiling on August 1.
The exterior updates include slimmer headlights, redesigned bumpers and new wheel designs, while the tailgate lettering will feature Skoda’s latest corporate font. There also looks to be a new diffuser finished in silver and a larger grille.
While the exterior changes are quite apparent, the interior modifications are expected to be more subtle, drawing inspiration from Skoda's latest Fabia supermini.
This includes a 9.2-inch central infotainment touchscreen which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus over-the-air updates.
Under the bonnet, the Scala and Kamiq will likely retain their current powertrain options, which include the three-cylinder 1.0 TSI and four-cylinder 1.5 TSI engines.
These engines will be mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The cars come ahead of Skoda’s plans to unveil the next-generation Kodiaq and Superb at separate events later this year, as well as the facelifted Octavia in 2024.
