Renault has revived the Scenic as a new electric crossover, with a claimed range of 385 miles.

Although it maintains its relatively compact size, the latest Scenic model retains its well-known roomy interior and an impressive 545 litres of cargo capacity. In terms of dimensions the car is slightly under 4.5 meters in length and 1.6 meters high.

It is based on the same platform as the Megane E-Tech Electric, and will be available in two variants: a Standard Range model with a 60kWh battery and a High Range model with an 87kWh battery.

The Scenic E-Tech Electric is powered by a single electric motor that produces 215bhp and 300Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 7.6 seconds and has a top speed of 105mph.

Inside, the dashboard is dominated by a 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 12.0-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system.

The infotainment system runs on Renault's OpenR Link system, which is based on Google Android Automotive OS. The system is compatible with a range of smartphone apps and features a built-in Google Assistant.

The Scenic E-Tech Electric will be available in the UK in early 2024. Prices have not yet been announced, but they are expected to start at around £35,000.
