MAXUS has launched two new electric vehicles (EVs) to the UK market, showcasing the company's most extensive lineup of EVs at the annual CV Show, Birmingham, in 2022. MAXUS will be showcasing a list of at least 12 EVs, including the two newest entrants - the MAXUS MIFA 9 (MPV) and the T90EV pick-up truck.
MAXUS has established itself as one of the most progressive and innovative brands in the eLCV market with a series of awards such as 'Business Van Awards 2022' as the Best Manufacturer Van Service and Best Large E-Van.'
Following MIFA 9's introduction into the UK market at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2021, ordering the all-electric vehicle will be available from 2022, with delivery due in early 2023. The multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) offers a range of up to 323 miles 520km) on a single noted charge. The seven-seater model has a body size of 5,270mm x 2,000mm x 1,800mm and is mentioned as a high-spec vehicle that includes the manufacturer's first 'intelligent driving housekeeper', which is said to automatically recognise the driver's style through scene driving and data gathering.
Summarising the key specifications of the MIFA 9, customers will get a 93kWh battery pack with a 180kW motor that has a maximum torque of 350Nm. With front and rear radars and automatic intelligent headlight controls, the all-electric features more than just an electric motor -electric sliding doors, electric power-assisted hydraulic braking and electric parking brakes. It also features electric power steering and seats that enable the seating to be rearranged and altered to almost any position that is to the passengers' liking due to the EV's spacious-looking interior.
Amongst the MIFA 9, MAXUS has also announced the arrival date of the all-electric pick-up truck, the MAXUS T90EV, available to order from August 2022, with deliveries due from 2023. The T90 is ideal for both on and off-road driving as a truck. Equipped with a high-spec, the electric truck has a range of 198 miles (320 km) with a payload of 740kg. The T90 is modernised with a 10.25-inch digital touch screen despite looking like a standard pick-up truck.
The key specifications of the T90EV include an 88.55kWh battery pack with a 150 kW motor. The e-truck's body measures 5,365mm x 1,900mm x 1,809mm, with the sizing of its cargo box measuring 1,485mm x 1,510mm x 530 mm, which sits on 17-inch alloy wheels. Exclusive features of the electric pick-up truck also include a reversing camera, weather-sensing windscreen wipers, an outside rope hook and a stainless steel sports bar.
